I had lots of thoughts about color before settling on Burgundy Mist Metallic. Purple, electric blue, yellow, British racing green, candy apple green, and probably some other colors passed through before sending it off for BMM.

Random thought: if you re-finished a bass in yellow, would it 'white' over time?

Oooooh. And matching knitted coasters for drink of choice. Just thinking of the possibilities of the one stop shopping now makes me shutter. Wait. That's rumbling in the lower chambers. Can you recommend a good anti-diarrhea med? Think we're going to need one when browsing the site from now on.

Looks like I will be playing electric bass instead of drums with the guys I just started playing with. They have a friend who wasn't available but was a long time professional drummer. He's head and shoulders better than I will ever be as a drummer. But, the rhythm guitarist/singer was playing bass and didn't really want to. Turns out I'm a lot better bass player than he is. Things work out. Plus, the Thunderbirds have another excuse to come out to play. Life could be a whole lot worse.

Nice! Hope it's a fun band with minimal attitudes.

Makes two of us. I have been anticipating for about six months, and it seems like it will finally come home to roost. It may make its public debut on August 17 if it gets here and I can get is reassembled and settled in in time.

Seems like it will be. I am the token American. The rest are Bulgarian. I am hoping it lasts and that we can eventually go toward some of the crazy time signatures Bulgarian music has.

Current debate in my head - Black Beauties are beginning to sound a little dull on the '01. New strings could be Boomers, Burners, Low Riders, Cobalt Flats, or another set of Black Beauties. The Burners are heavy gauge. That would require a little tweaking. That is not much of an issue for a CroMagnon. Decisions! It is a first world problem.

The only Bulgarian I ever knew was a product of bad water or something. Wrote crazy letters to the Pres at the time and claimed to be an inventor of some weird stuff. Had to evict him from a rental. The taxpayers were paying his rent and when the time was up for a full free ride and for him to pay something, he decided he had a right to just stay there and live for free. Didn't take him long to figure out the twisted side of the American way! He was removed.
