Thunderbird Club

Eh, a little. Someone may be better with this, but I'd venture 200 for the head, 300 for the cab. Call me cheap...
totally agree, some collectors would happily pay that though...about 2 years ago I paid 200 for a 220 and a 402 cab. the head wouldn’t come on but all it needed was a power switch. traded it for a Schecter 5 string about 2 weeks later.....ACC stuff just doesn’t do it for me..

That is her husband's clutch of footwear. He's a mod...
However some very fine bass players have been shoe salespeople.
Full disclosure. I worked at Kinney Shoes (how’s that for a blast from the past?) in high school and during college breaks. Made a lot more money than other kids who worked fast food and restaurants.

I don't love the new car technology. It is for no reason, best I can tell, than to generate income for different aspects of the auto industry.
Wish I still had my '67 F-100 pickup. That was a thing of beauty. A pearl, I tell ye. I hate cars, and driving too now.
Get off my lawn...
I wish I still had my ‘59 Volvo PV 544 and ‘87 740 Turbo wagon.

Meaning they want the approval for a warranty replacement of a very expensive part plus their labor,
the cost of which exceeds their automatically approved threshold. Not to be a downer, but if it’s a Ford, it may take awhile. Just sayin’.

?

The Forster with back seat flipped down has a huge load capacity. There’s still a lot with the seat back in place. I get it though that a van is more practical.
For me the biggest advantage of the van is that I can leave some non-temperature sensitive stuff in there and still have room for family. Besides, I got my first van in 69 and have stuck with them ever since. Except for this:

ETA: My 1987 Freightliner 12064, 350HP Cummapart, 9 speed direct, 355 rears on air ride. Ugly arse company wagon.

Sometimes you have to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. Reboot the car.
Can’t wait for driverless cars!
Oh yeah. Can't wait for that.:rollno: I'm scared either way. Distracted drivers or trusting new technology that will do what systems do at times--not work properly. There's no way fool proof anything. Just too darn many of them.

Well on second thought, given some drivers, a malfunctioning electronic system might not be any worse given the malfunctioning drivers.

I don't malfunction often. But when I do, it still sounds better on a Thunderbird...

Meant to mention: that ugly company wagon could hold a shipload of the "coming to a store near you" Epiphone RI, VP, NR, TBII/IV's in yer choice of finish*......As soon as they make them.

*Pelham Blue, Inverness(or Kerry)Green, Candy Apple Red, White<(white), Ebony, Purple, or Sunburst-or this(?)

On an unrelated subject, with my current gig mobile troubles, I kinda wish Subie made a van.:(

An Outback is all you need Mike, they work really well for working musicians.

3 Thunderbirds and 2 GK 4x10s, plus my clothes.

The construction team who was building our gazebo saw the old upright piano in our den and asked my sweetheart "who plays?". They had been looking for a keys player forever. I ain't no Billy Powell but when I auditioned I noticed the bass player also plays a thunderbird...a blackbird to be exact. You can see it on a stand behind him after my shaky piano solo. That Leon fella was a really good bassist and liked his birds. Anyways these folks rarely get together but they are very good at what they do.
