Beauty!!Doesn’t look different but man does it sound different. If you see one of these, a real tbird pickup is the way to go. I also sacrificed a coozy to make the pickup sit up higher. This puppy was way thinner than the pickup that came with it.View attachment 3634342

Reminds me I want to put new strings on my EBOa bit à propos...the seller of one of these complains that the mudbucker is way too plummy and that it saturates passive amp inputs (shocker) and wants to change that. he doesn't want anything altered in the bass so i made him a 1/4" to 1/4" 20ft guitar cable with a series cap in both ends to high pass the signal...
using the common 10kOhm input Z of most modern amps the cutoff works out to Fc = wRC..
works well but i need to revisit the cap values since i used 2kHz as the ref freq and it should maybe be higher..
now he has the standard full bw cable and a modified one...not a novel idea...many folks use series resistors in cables to limit PA volumes..

Yeah. My brain was too tired to provide a logical response. And like I’ve said before “maths” and physics are not my thing. But yeah.If the neck side of the bridge is too low, the forces in the string tension can be such that they pull up on the other two bolts as well as toward the nut, lifting the posts with them. As you raise the neck bolt (relative to the string peaks over the saddles), the forces change so that the long parts of the string pull toward the nut (lateral and even down down). Not sure what the short ends do, but I suspect they are inconsequential in the equation.
And make certain that your strings are COMPLETELY loose before making height adjustments. Ask me how I know.I mean, yeah, basically. I ran across a multitude of posts right here on TB that discussed this exact thing happening to their basses, thus the reason I don't lower the front screw below the height of the rear screws.

Keeping the front post a bit higher also gives you a better break angle. Just saying.highly unlikely imho..
