Capacitors are easy to find. Check Ebay and see if you can find one with free shipping. Also, get some electronics cleaner and clean out that pot. Crackly pots are very often just caused by dust in the pot.

I just use a damp cloth on my basses and dry them off. What's the best/easiest way to clean the Thunderbird body? Mine's pretty dirty.
I just use the bottom four strings of D'Addario 5-string sets. .130 .100 .80 .60I'm gonna try stringing Testeclees(The T-bird) BEAD. The price for a B string(GHS Pressurewound) is the same as a whole 4 string set!?!?!???
We have asked for pics of the back of the bass and an explanation of the flora growing on the fretboard- third pic.
And here's the back of that rising sun bass.
LOL
Is that what the back of an Epi neck looks like?

What's the asking price, anyway? I'm just curious.
Wow! That paint job must be some kind of special paint that turns whoever plays that bass into the next coming of Jaco, Lemmy, and JPJ all rolled into one!$1750 Buy it Now, which would be more than you would pay for a very good Gibson TBird second hand. Standard Epis would go around $200- $300 second hand.
I messaged him tactfully through eBay that his bass isn't a Gibson- no response or change to the listing.
***? Why not just get a different case?I am going to have to stop looking at eBay- this is getting upsetting.
Drastic way to get a G3 to fit into a case.

No idea. My T-bird doesn't have a tone pot, though.Speaking of potentiometers, an idea of what it would give 1 meg pots on a TBird ?
Quicky:
Anyone know off hand if modern Thunderbirds (Gibson) have long or short shaft pots?
And the volumes are 500k, and tone is 250?
