Thunderbird Club

Pardon the randomness of this but I just ran across this photo of Sir Pete Way (I knighted him for being a TBird ambassador!)! ;)

"when it comes to being a great musician, it's all about practice isn't it...oh, and wearing the right trousers."-Pete Way

What would the world be like without Pete?!

Epiphones are cheap, that plastic is VINTAGE.

Yeah, maybe...

But in these parts of the world were vintage Gibson Thunderbirds are extremely rare, and there are no pawn shops to find hidden gems, Epiphones are the next best thing regardless of price...

You guys are freaking me out when you're not posting 50 messages an hour. All of a sudden there's lots less traffic in here, and its making me think something is broken. LOL!

Just ass dragging back home from a four day trip with the band, we played Fri and Sat, sold out the bar and brought home 4K. I'm utterly exhausted. I used my white '89 for the first two sets each night and finished with the Jackson, used the Greco de-tuned a half step for the encores. Oh, I got flashed bewbs on Sat too, Pt Angeles takes drinking to a professional level.

Question - this has probably been covered here somewhere but I'll ask anyway. Is there any consensus on what type/brand compressor works best with an Epi T-Bird (Classic IV bolt on if that makes a difference)? I've got a Boss ME-50B multi effects unit I picked up some time ago used off local CL, been playing around with the one in that. Just wondering if there isn't something more specific/more ideal to this specific bass. Never really been an effects guy so this is all kinda new to me.
