My neck goes on a My Pillow... LOL

The way he keeps inventing new stuff, maybe he'll make a Guitar Neck My Pill
Thanks. Thought it would be interesting for a direct comparison. Too bad it's just an iPad recording. I think the recording does get a little of the sweeter sound of the '64.
All things considered, the recordings sound good. I’m not hearing much difference with fingers. With the pick, I prefer the ‘06. Sounds angrier.

This is a crappy recording with the iPad again about 3' in front of an Ampeg V4B RI and 212. Disregard the playing. I was taking a break again from work and knelt down and quickly noodled. First is the '64 then the '06, both with Enfeld Superalloys. The older set is on the '06. First is both with fingers then both with pick. Again I was going for sound not skill and wasn't going to go back to correct anything. You can tell a difference, but nothing like in the room.

I really like the sound of the 2006! Sounds fuller than the 1964.

Not having ever played a ‘76, it isn’t ingrained in my mind that there is not a belly cut on them. I’m sure many here have mentioned that in passing, but it didn’t stick. Interesting. VP has one as do both Gibsons. None on the bolt-ons.

My whatever-year Epi body didn't have a body bevel so I created one where I ride it to make it more comfortable. Stickers have been removed since this old pic.

Yes, in these clips it actually sounds better than in person in some ways, and the opposite is true of the '64. Live is sounds less punchy in the mid-mids, or something. I'll use it ('06) Sunday and see how it does with those same strings as the gold standard.

I'm going to say this just one more time - after that the consequences are going to get much more serious.

If somehow this is beyond anyone's immediate comprehension, just PM me.

I really don’t want the whole thing shut down, which is what is risked otherwise. Thanks.

Show your neck cradle Friday? I made this 30 years ago. Slots on the side hold strings out of the way.

Curses! I thought it was truss rod adjustment friday... Oh well, done now. Action lower and more uniform. Even did a little bit of intonating. The JC really needs intonating, but I will likely do that on intonation Sunday.

 Neck cradle Friday is actually fret-polishing Friday in the United States.
