Not really. I don't like the venue-or more accurately, the people who run it. Plus the pay is crap. And it's semi-outdoor. The mosquitoes are very much in attendance.Man. That sucks.

I really like it this way, I ve been experimenting with adhesive tape to find the placement that fits me!@Dave CALEYRON, do you wish it were an inch one way or another, or is it perfect?
Incroyable!I really like it this way, I ve been experimenting with adhesive tape to find the placement that fits me!

I might have to get one of those. I don't like the strap that's on the '15 for the time being.Nah, I took the discount. They’re 4” suede backed. Although you can get leather backed. I like them.
Me too, thanks to you. Acorn/Dark Brown x2.Nah, I took the discount. They’re 4” suede backed.
I'm so far happy with tapes on the '15. They are fairly low tension, which surprised me. I had to adjust the neck. I never have to adjust a neck! The Flamingo has 50-110s on it. They are Bass Burners. I didn't like them at first, but the longer they are on there, the more I like them. Dead rounds for the win! The '01 currently has DR nickel rounds. I don't remember whether they are hex or round core. When those get changed, it will be back to Black Beauties on that bass. Probably 50-110 instead of 95-105 like before. Turns out I like somewhat heavier strings. The lightest set (40/95) really did sound like a standard guitar but an octave down.
He got some early McCartney out of the 45/100 set (and the 50/105s).
The 50/105 finally got into what I think of as proper bass territory. Still no thunder.
The flatwounds sound great!
The tapes did some things really well, others meh. The harmonics really sounded good.
Very useful video, but I would have liked some very simple, short clips of each string back to back for a more direct comparison. At least he did a lot of the same things on each string gauge, which definitely helped.
Well then. I guess messing around needs to stop. Thanks.Me too, thanks to you. Acorn/Dark Brown x2.
Oh, they said the sale was ending on the first, but I see that it now says "Ending October 2nd", @Gaolee.
