I noticed that, but I assumed he has a bass clef on the other side. Equal opportunity. Can you trust a bass player with a treble clef tattoo on his neck?![]()
There is a brief flash of the bass clef at one point. But it is amusing if you aren't paying close attention for that brief glimpse.I noticed that, but I assumed he has a bass clef on the other side. Equal opportunity.
Or maybe he used to be a guitarist and has that treble clef like a gang tattoo and never got rid of it.There is a brief flash of the bass clef at one point. But it is amusing if you aren't paying close attention for that brief glimpse.
The Power Steels sound nice on the ‘13 NR! Has anyone tried them on an Epi VP?Looking forward to your thoughts on the Cobalt Flats then! I know I sound like a broken record, but if you like the RS66 and Low Riders, I'd suggest also checking out the SIT Power Steels.
And hey, to be real, I absolutely love my Cobalt Flats on my P-bass. They sound great -- really thick and middy -- just don't expect them to be bright or sparkly.
So we know that you're all about that bassThey're my overall Thunderbird fave. I don't want the bass to sound like a guitar with an extra octave tacked on. I want the bass. All. The bass. Thunderous bass. Some mids and highs on occasion, but lots of low end. I have been keeping the VP strung with RS66s and playing it some, but it just doesn't grab me the way the CP does with CFs.
I tried the CFs on the VP when it came in, and loved them there but decided to give the RS66s a chance. They do the angry piano thing well, making the VP an Angry Bird. There are just not many songs I play that call for that.
But hey, whatever works for you is the way to go!

'Bout that bass, no treble
You're all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
You're all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble
You're all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass

Thunderbird Thursday with The Nasty Habits.........................This was the sweatiest bar, what I would give to play there just now.
Well, they can be expensive. Call Best Bass Gear and talk to them. They’re nice to deal with and are an authorized dealer. They may be able to save you a few bucks. But if they don’t have them in stock, the wait may be longer than you would like. Sometimes it’s better to bite the bullet and buy them direct. Hipshot customer service is highly regarded by a lot of us on here.Does anyone know of a place where I can find the USA hipshop ultralites mini clover tuners in chrome? The only place that I have come across that does have them is Hipshot.....and I don't want to pay $160 for four of them if I don't have to.
You took a desktop to a gig? that is dedication to keeping up with thunderbird club.3/4ths of our group are playing a gig right now. Take a guess which one isn't playing.
remember-I don't have a smartphone-tm. Strictly the desktop.

If Hipshot is selling at the same price as best Bass gear, Hipshot makes less money on product sold thru BBG. You can call Hipshot and see if they will give a discount for buying direct.Well, they can be expensive. Call Best Bass Gear and talk to them. They’re nice to deal with and are an authorized dealer.
