Thunderbird Club

As some of you guys might know, for the last year I've been busy working on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fan comic called "The Full Eighty Percent" which is rapidly nearing its 130'th page.

Now the way I do this is as old school as it gets: Pencils, Paper, Indian ink and Ecoline which is colored inks. it's a pain but I love doing it.

Today I made THIS, which in addition to being the title page for the upcoming chapter "Shattered" could also work very well as the LP sleeve for an eighties hair band.

Yep. Neck and fretboard drove me to sell.

It's why I've been thinking about converting a 4-string. But the base of the neck is pretty narrow, and I think string spacing at the bridge would probably need to be 16mm or less. Which is less than I would prefer....

My other thought has been to have body mods done to fit an Ibanez SR or similar neck

Looks great. Tort looks at home on white Fenders. BTW - is that a toasted Birdseye maple neck? The figuring is beautiful.
Thank you. Slightly aged white is about the only color I think tort looks good on. The tort is 59 years old so it's pretty mellow. The bass was refinished with an appropriately aged white lacquer, so it's nice match. It's not toasted, it's just old! One of those back then they didn't think about things like that and grabbed what they grabbed off the rack and went with it, not knowing later such things would be desirable. It's a great slab RW fretboard. The finish on the back of the neck is almost completely worn off and feels fantastic. I do love to play it. Sounds great for a Jazz! It has TI Jazz Rounds on it and I'm thinking of doing the string dance now that I have a few other strings I've yet to try on it.

outta his mind.....your 64 is worth 30k then lol

White 70s are pretty rare, I'd have to check on the validity of it being a true '76, note the serial# having only 6 digits what ever this is, it's not common at all - His asking price, is uncommonly high though.

Is there a 12 step bass program?

The pictures are horrendous, so I won't really know what condition this is in until it gets here from Japan. If I don't have to spend much to get it in decent shape I may spring for airbrushing and make it a real Nikki Spectorbird copy. It's not like I want to join a Motley Tribute band, but I did always like this one...
