Hipshot sent some replacement screws and a retainer ring for my BT1 tuner two weeks ago. I had much better results with the 800 customer number then the online service request. As always, their customer service for me has been outstanding.Still waiting for my Xtenders for the Bird and the Explorer, ordered April 1.
2 emails to Hipshot have gone unanswered, the last dated last week, the 1st abouth a month ago....anybody heard from them lately ? They have stellar service and exchanged emails with them for bridges during the worst of Covid and replies came in fast. But now....
They are having a difficult time. I ordered HB10 tuners which are a direct drop-in for my Mustang near the beginning of February and had sporadic replies to my emails. I sent them an email last Monday, no reply, and the tuners arrived Thursday by overnight mail. Haven’t installed them yet, but the quality and precision is, as always, top notch. Definitely worth the wait.Still waiting for my Xtenders for the Bird and the Explorer, ordered April 1.

I had a quick look at the Greco truss cover. I’m pretty sure the logo isn’t a font, so I’ll have to figure out how to recreate it. It might take a little while, but I’ll make it happen. That looks pretty darn good!
I'm in desperate need of a Greco truss rod cover with gold foil letters for my white Greco. I've looked everywhere and none are to be found. I believe @dukeorock is also in need of a Greco truss cover with gold foil text. If you decide to start making covers to sell I'd be interested in buying one.

They are having a difficult time (...) It is going to be months before things get close to being normal in most manufacturing sectors. At least we have baseball. Go Dodgers!
Another logo to draw outI’ve been looking for a cover for my Orvilele, but none to be found. So yes, I’d be interested too.

If you can do pickguards with the Thunderbird logo, you'd probably sell a bunch.I had a quick look at the Greco truss cover. I’m pretty sure the logo isn’t a font, so I’ll have to figure out how to recreate it. It might take a little while, but I’ll make it happen.
I have found a file of the Eppi logo, but the Gibson one is different. If you can do pickguards with the Thunderbird logo, you'd probably sell a bunch.
Yeah. I find that kinda hilarious since Gibson/Epiphone won't sell it themselves. So it's not like you have any sort of legal alternative.I have found a file of the Eppi logo, but the Gibson one is different.
Then there are legalities and the possibility of being sued.

Also, feel free to tell them that you know me. Although they won't know who I am, they might get a laugh out of the watermelons...*This Is Not Legal Advice*
*I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV*
It is possible to just start doing the work and if/when you get a cease and desist letter from Gibson, treat it as an overture to having a conversation. Worst case they tell you "no, we don't want anyone using it, stop it now", best case, they say "you're right, there is an unmet demand in the market, pay us $X.XX per unit sold and we are cool".
*Also not legal advice*
Incorporate a company to do the work, that way it is more difficult for Gibson to sue you personally.
But it would be for a good cause! Even if you get sent to the poky, you could still access TB and the Thunderbird Club. Just think, you would come out being all bulked up and a much better criminal!I have found a file of the Eppi logo, but the Gibson one is different.

At this point I’m not intending to go into business. (I have been there before)*This Is Not Legal Advice*

All damage done by me over 48 years of owning it.The pics are getting better Mike.
I think you mentioned your NR has a repaired headstock. If so, was it repaired when you got it ages ago, or did it break after you acquired it? The reason I ask, is the Black finish on the back would be a pretty normal thing to do after a break repair. Otherwise, I'm with @JIO, and chalk it up to typical Gibson variations from day to day.
Ahem?At this point I’m not intending to go into business. (I have been there before)
It will be cool to see what I can do with the machine, and hopefully I can help out a few friends with their instruments.
Actually, not entirely true. All damage was done in the 48 years. Not all damage was done by me. Initial HS damage caused by some little hellions running through the band 'area'(no stage)on a break at a wedding reception. Parents were "connected"; didn't offer to pay for anything or even apologize for their devil's spawn behavior. All damage done by me over 48 years of owning it.

Don’t own a Greco (yet), but that’s really great of you Irv. I love this club.I had a quick look at the Greco truss cover. I’m pretty sure the logo isn’t a font, so I’ll have to figure out how to recreate it. It might take a little while, but I’ll make it happen.
