Thunderbird Club

The Red and chrome, once again!

I'm still lovin' mine!
I apologize for sounding like a broken record. But anyone with the means really should pick up one of these while they’re still available. Even with the three point instead of a two piece, Gibson hit it out of the park with this one.

Thank you so much for those kind words! I'm lucky to have been brought into this group of musicians....a ton of fun to jam with them.

I love my VP. I run it through an ABY splitter and have 2 amps blended to get a solid fuzzy, but round tone. My YBA-300 + Ampeg Heritage 410hlf gives me the foundation (no pedals, just the natural tone) and then I run my fuzz/ overdrive pedals through the Fender Deluxe. I kick the Deluxe Amp on and off for dynamics.

I saw a few of those Greco basses while browsing here! Are the pickups closer to how a Gibson Ripper sounds?

Nice amp and cab. I bet the Traynor sounds great through that 410. I love my Heritage 410. Massive sounding.

These all sound great through it.

well I think I just found my new favourite place to hang out!! So many beautiful vintage instruments here...
I don't have any good pictures of my 2018 Thunderbird Vintage Pro - White, but I did use it to record our last album (with a few Hollow body sections):

I have no issue whatsoever with the 3 point, but I really don’t think anyone should buy any until I get my burgundy…

Billy annoys me. I want to hate him for all the tapping, using a drill armed with picks and everything else he does.

But he grooves so well,
He figured out that a mudbucker at the neck can be awesome, and
If you watch some of his instructional videos on the yoot oob he looks at things others don't (everyone else focusses on fretting hand, I watched a video of him doing 20 minutes on the plucking hand).

It is so annoying that he can confuse me by being so good and so bad simultaneously.

He seems like a real nice guy too, down to earth. I too love his original Fender, I traded a Tele bass for a fretless P bass with an EB-0 pickup at the neck in 1977, the owner wanted the humbucker back so I gave it to him.

The heritage series are well worth the extra few hundred. Love mine.
Have to say, your collection has me envious!

Thanks man! Appreciate the follow.
Yeah, this forum seems like a great place to be.

I haven't seen a Traynor in a store in I don't know when. One place around here used to rent them in the early 80s.

Long&McQuade in Canada always have Traynor in stock. It's actually harder to find Ampeg to test around here lol
