I just got a 2012 Epiphone Thunderbird and I'd like to put some Fender-style clover shaped chrome tuners on it. The holes on the T-Bird are too close together to accomodate the Fender keys. I've seen pictures of the Elitist series. They have Fender style keys. Are the holes farther apart? Any suggestions?

My guess is the elitist is based more on the vintage Gibson T-bird, which had the same tuners as the Fenders had in the sixties (Kluson 456 if I recall correctly). From the center of the E-post to the center of the G-post it's 142mm
If I'm not mistaken, Gotoh offers some Res-O-Lites that would fit, and help combat neck dive at the same time.
