Thunderbirds...

so lately i've been looking into putting a fender neck on my thunderbird...just wondering how challenging this will be
because ive never done anything like this before

while im at it anyone already have one? pictures are most appreciated.

thanks all

Did it, not something you should really do on your own. The neck pocket will not fit a Fender neck immediately, the neck pocket is too small. It must be routed a bit wider, and depending on the finish, the veneer can flake and crack when routed into. The only reason to do this is if you don't like the P-width and want a narrower neck. Otherwise your Thunderbird is essentially already a Fenderbird, it is actually a Fender with humbuckers (alder body and maple/rosewood neck).
