Thundercat - this guy is a monster player

Yeah this dude is amazing. I bought Cosmogramma by Flying Lotus a while ago w/out hearing any of it before hand and Thundercat is on a bunch of those tracks and kills it. I don't remember any of the track names so i cant be specific right now, but his playing on that record is the best I've heard in a while.

Thundercat is killer. I love him in that he makes me feel old because what he is doing is definitely something totally different from what anyone near my age plays. Making me feel old is positive because, IMO, it means that the bass still has a future and a frontier, not just a bunch young guys looking retro with P-basses.

He is a monster, not so sure about his level of taste though.
Full disclosure: I have no love for bass solos in general.

Saw him recently and he has this Leslie-ish tone he kept on going back to.
It's so effected you can't particularly distinguish any of the notes he's playing.

listened to it a couple more times...the drummer is sick too. He tore it up! My brother is a drummer and I always like listening to good drums and telling him about it. Its a ton of fun when we play together...we ARE the rhythm section lol. Were always locked in tight...maybe its the brother thing...
