Thunderfunk TFB800 B2

I had sort of an odd experience with my TFB550A and my TFB750-A. I owned the 550A first and loved it! After speaking to folks here and talking to Dave it seemed that the 750-A had more of a great thing going on so I had to have it. Well I sold the 550A to get the 750-A and I realized that I liked the 550A much better for my tone goals. I was sort of shocked by my experience because the 750-A was the latest and had more updates than the 550A I was playing.

I have read that from a couple of people. I would say that they are very different heads, so I would approach the new one that way. I got the 750 first so my experience is slightly different. They do share a lot:
enhance
timbre
the eq

But from what others have shared, they are different in many aspects. Regardless, I can get a great sound out of both of them.

One thing I will mention; I have a p bass that I got new in '75 (I think) and have always played it through a tube amp. Great tone, loved it. Well, when I got the Thunderfunk and Aguilar GS cabs, I had to totally re-set the guitar. String height, pickup height etc... I worked with it the longest. And it took some time with the Thunderfunk settings before I got it to work with the P. My J basses work immediately. I can change the amp settings for different tones and it will sound different but still sound good.

i have a AMP 260 , had it for 20 years , no probs. The 800 is looking good. thinking about the 6x"10 bottom. my pevey 410B is getting tired ...Thunderfunk and Bagend are basicly down the street from me...what was that about wants and needs ... i feel faint ... the gas oh the gas
