Well, after wading through roughly 25 pages of threads on the Thunderfunk, I decided I would get one. I've been emailing back and forth with Dave (who's been absolutely fantastic to work with!), and I shipped out some trades today, so now the wait begins!
Naturally, the next step for me is to upgrade my cab situation. The common suggestions seem to be Epifani, Schroeder, Acme and Eden... I need something that's going to be loud enough and versatile enough to get me through a variety of gig situations. Mostly I get involved with blues (Muddy Waters/Howlin' Wolf), rock (classic rock mostly--Clapton, Zeppelin, Hendrix), and country (more alt-country/roots) music. I'd like a cab will compliment both the old school thump of my P-bass with flats, and my MIA '62 Jazz RI with rounds.
I'd like to keep the cost under $1,000. What cabs and configurations do you suggest?
