TI Jazz Flats on 6-string

Hi everybody,
Anyone using TI Jazz Flats for their standard scale six-string basses? How about medium or short? I have a Birdsong "Hy-5" six and am debating whether to make the switch to flats from nickels, with all the adjustment hassles that might ensue. I had a set in another bass and liked it, but never in an extended-range bass. I'm hoping the C is less twangy and more uniform with the other strings than tends to be the case with rounds. The Birdsong is 31", but it takes long scale strings due to the ferrules in the back. Right now it is wearing standard scale strings and plays wonderfully. Think the flat-wound B will be flop city? Any feedback would be wunderbar!
