TI Jazz Rounds vs GHS Pressurewounds: Brighter?

I read in another thread a comment about the PWs being brighter than thr TI Jazz Rounds. True? Particularly the low B string I'm interested in. Also SIT Silencers if anyone has knowledge.

I wouldn't necessarily say PWs are "brighter" than TIJRs, but they're definitely "crunchier" due to the strong mid character of Alloy 52. They're so different in their tonal characters that "brightness" by itself may not be the best reference for comparison.

Off-topic, but I wonder if EB Cobalt and Alloy52 are the same thing?

Cobalt alloy is different from Alloy 52 (nickel-iron). One thing they do have in common, though, is they're both considered "high output" due to their highly magnetic properties.

I use and have used all three on different Basses. I liked the Cobalt Flats on every Bass I have tried them on especially the B. I have the B on my 5 and 6 strings. The Jazz rounds on the right Bass sound awesome but not on every Bass so If you put them on and you are disappointed don't give up on them. I had them on a Warwick Corevtte didn't care for it, put them On a P Bass with a Bartolini pickup and they may never come off. The PW's also sound good on most every Bass I have tries them on and I like the B string. I have not had the opportunity to try a Jazz Round B string.
