TI Jazz Rounds vs Rotosound SwingBass66?

How do they compare?

I like the tension and growl of the Roto66 (45/65/80/105) and I am interested in the TI Jazz Rounds (43/51/68/89) but wonder if they would be too light and floppy in comparison - what appear to be true considering their tension charts (see below).

E.g.: E String
Roto 66 - 38.6lbs
TI Rounds - 27.99lbs!
TI Flats - 34.39lbs (I have these and they are ok)

Anyone has tried both?

I put Rotosound Swing Bass 66s on my bass once.

I plucked a few notes, cut the strings, and threw them in the garbage. Hated everything about them.

In contrast, TI Jazz Rounds are one of my favorite strings - the other two being TI Super Alloys and TI Jazz Flats. Jazz rounds are my "I want a string between the super alloys and flats" or "I want a string that will allow me to play faster" or "I want to treat my fingers to some TLC while still playing the bass".

Seriously, TI Jazz Rounds are so unique and special feeling, it's hard to articulate. You will need to adjust your truss rod. You will need to adjust your technique.

Nope. Just touching them was unpleasant - hated the feel under my fingers.

When I first started using Rotos, they felt link cheese grinders.
Then I got used and now appreciate the grip they provide, they seem to give me more precision on the attack.
Looks like the TI Rounds are more on the smooth side, will see...

TI Rounds are so finely wound that they play almost as quietly as flats if you shift positions and drag a finger.

At some time (more Geddy Lee worship) I tried the rotosound funkmaster set (FM66) which is 30-50-70-90. It took some adjusting for the touch, but once I did, it was really cool that I could get the really hard "digging in" tone with much less finger effort, and more clarity for double stops (AFAIK the reason why Geddy picked those up during the late 90s). And throw in a random bend or two without feeling like I was tearing my fingers off

Peter Collins Wal bass was strung up with the Funkmasters which Geddy used for the recording of Power Windows.
