Tips to Improve My Playing?

Hey there! Just wondering if anyone has any tips or website/book/music recommendations that could help me on my development as a bass player. I play mostly 60s/70s style rock I suppose (psychedelic, blues, garage style stuff) and prog rock and metal. Regardless, I realize any genre will require a knowledge of atleast the basic scales (though I want to learn as much as I can) and so on. If anyone knows a website with scales for the bass guitar that is relatively simply written out, that'd be great. As I'm self taught I have tons of papers lying about, each one emphasizing a different bass technique or music lesson. However, some of these are more or less useless and I'd rather have some fellow bass players recommend me some stuff.

I also play in a similar project! Other than using your basic major and minor scales, some other scales that I tend to use often are blues scales and other modal scales (Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian etc) you can just look up the tabs on the Internet somewhere and just practice away
