To J-retro or no......

hello I'm a long time listener/ first time caller. I currently have a skyline DJ5 on order with Chi Sonic PUs. I can't decide wether I want the passive or J retro controls. The current band I play in is a lot like band of horses with some other songs with a country/blues vibe. I guess versatility is what I'm looking for.

The DJ-Retro is a great piece of kit. It really brings out the best of the bass. For those times you want (or need) to go passive you just flick the switch. I wouldn't want to go back to just VVT on my DJ4.
