Answers to 2 & 3 are YES. As for the tuners...I had to replace 2 due to accident and they eventually came in a ziplock wrapped in chinese newspaper....chinese parts assembled in Japan "by hand"....could've been a collectible classic which to some extent was in back of my brain when they came out and I bought one. Now I realize future worth will be nothing as they are made in the era of cheap lousy chinese parts and falling Japanese manufacturing quality....I'm tired of all my new cool and unusual Fenders being made overseas. I loved all my American made guitars...strat, 3-tele's, P-bass...not so pleased with quality of the last 3 Fender instruments...too bad. And come on start making cases with them again...the gig bag that came with this disintegrated faster than any I have used before...2-3 gigs/wk and 2 practices is all they were used for.
Personally, I'm gutting this jag and as I can afford it; putting some quality pickups, bridge, tuning heads and electronics in it, with a new custom made pickguard. I really love the neck and body so they will stay the same. It was a good starting point for a truly great bass.
