Here's how it is, I have two pedals (Danelectro Cool Cat and EHX Micro Q'tron) which boost the volume an unusable amount when engaged (especially the 'tron). The pedals are at opposite ends of my chain from each other, so I'd like to try putting a compressor/limiter at the end of it to neutralise the volume spikes. Thanks to bongomania and his impressive collection of reviews, I've narrowed my search down to 3 pedals (the others being Humphrey Mods' CS-3 and the Boss LMB-3), with the Mr Squishy at the top of the list due to my previous good experiences with it at the beginning of my chain. Regretfully, I've now however sold my old Mr Squishy and so don't have one to try out in this new planned application. Does anyone have any experience with the Squishy when used like this? I thought it was an excellent pedal, back when I used one at the beginning of my chain, but I just didn't feel the need for a compressor back then. I'm hoping it may work just as well at the opposite end of my chain.
My main concern, is that I want to leave the Squishy on all the time, so I don't want it to adversely effect the tone from my Sansamp BDDI or GT2, which are placed inbetween my Cool Cat and Micro Q-tron in my chain. When placed before my effects, the Squishy was totally transparent to my ears, but I'm unsure as to exactly how it'll react to having a hi-gain distortion pedal or even just overdrive before it in the chain.
