Any of you download Todd Johnson’s cycles method ? I really enjoyed his interview and lessons on scott’s bass lessons. But I wanted to know if there was a lot extra on the lesson. It’s seems like it’s a cycle of 4ths with different arpeggios and scales. Anyone? Review? Thanks!

I study with Todd online and have done his cycle exercise, pretty much daily, for years as my warmup. He actually has three different permutations. The regular cycle, stretch fingering and 4th finger. You are somewhat correct that it's running the scales and arpeggios up and down through the cycle, however as I recall he sells the packages at a very low price so I'd encourage you to purchase them and support his teachings. Todd is a great player, instructor and all around great guy. Running the cycle daily will improve your technique, fingerboard knowledge amongst other things.

Very nice! Thank you for the recommendation. I wanted to ask if there is a lot of content extra on those methods? Or is it pretty much just running through the cycle of fourths? I wanted to ask because it seems like most of the information was on the podcast and lessons and I could figure out the rest. I just don’t want to pay for something that maybe was laid out completely on scott’s bass lessons. Thanks.
