Tom Brantley 1962 Jazz Set

Has anyone tried these? I've had his Geddy Lee set and they're awesome, but I'm considering trying his 62 set. Anyone have a demo or experience with these?

Yeah probably! I've tried lots of 60s reissue pickups so I'd like to hear them or at least hear some experiences before buying

Oh I know. I've had a set of his Geddy pickups before, and spoke with him. I just want to hear more on this 62 set.

I just ordered a set today for my 62. I currently have SD Antiquity II pups in it which sound great but I'm hoping for something a bit more tame like my 64 Jazz with original pickups sounds.

The pickups showed up yesterday and into the 62 they went today. Okay, so as to my impression. First, these have a very full tone ,they are well balanced and have a definite punch and clarity. I had a "WOW, these sound great" moment. The are different than the Antiquity's. I think they sound less vintagy but sound like Great Jazz Bass. This is through the only amp I have which is a 60's Ampeg B15.
