For the record...

I've been working with Tom for awhile. I am updating the record of the work he's done for me on the bass I bought from Carlos Henriquez...
Some people in the DMV have asked me questions on his work, so this is a standing example of the quality of his work... I think he's very good imo...

The photos will most likely be out of order, but the bass was reconstructed from a very bad state of disrepair. He has since added an extension and new tuners for me...

Tom's work is well-respected. And since they also make harpsichords there, it's a cool shop to visit.

How timely! I have been thinking of having him put an extension on my bass, and possibly a new fingerboard that goes up to high Q-sharp. Your bass looks great!

You forgot to mention how cool the building and scenery is! I haven't been there in ~10 years, but as I recall, it's a historic, 3-story school house with a great view of the rolling hills and farmland. The first floor was divided in half: one side was the bass shop, the other was the harpsichord shop. And the second floor was filled with great basses, setup and ready to play.

I believe Paul Langosch, who is probably best known for his work with Tony Bennett, used to be involved with the shop as well. If Tom's work is good enough for him....

About 5 years ago, I had work done on my American Standard. I enjoyed talking with Tom and he answered any questions I had. The shop is so cool and the outdoor setting is picturesque. If I was still living in Virginia, I would use him for any bass work.

Tom is a best friend who I have never met in person. He was an early adopter of my Bass Capos, and also helped me get my RobPin to market by presenting it at the 2017 ISB convention in Ithaca. Great guy!
