Tone caps

Hi,
I am doing a couple of bass guitar builds .
I was wondering what people are using for caps on the tone control circuit ?
Are they preferred ones , are the oil filled better?
Any help would be great .

Yes, best are paper in snake oil capacitors

But it can be very useful to try caps off different values, they sound quite different with the tone (almost) fully closed.

Capacitors are capacitors. No mojo. BUT...contrary to what people think, I would NOT use a paper-and-oil capacitor because the oil dries out and causes the capacitor to change its characteristic.
