That's what I figure- I know I like the tone hammer so best case scenario after a few gigs I love it and keep it forever. Worst case scenario I gig it heavily for six to twelve months then get a DB... The tone hammer is cheap enough that even if I did buy a DB later on I'd probably just keep both.
I was thinking I could part with my upright bass I never have time to play in order to pay for a good chunk of the amp, but then I realized I should probably sell the bass and fix my leaking roof before spending a bunch if money on something when I could get by with less.
