funny.. I get the opposite reaction when I use my synth...

If you have a treble knob on your bass, try turning it down a bit, and play around with the synth settings to get something that works with what y'all are playing, but isn't too off the wall..
Sometimes synth just doesn't work in a song. I find it most useful in the slower songs where I use it to create more of a soundscape, than anything else.
