Tone pump wiring question...

I read about the 18v sim in these. My main amp is a mesa mpulse600. So i cant wait hear this thing driven

You're gonna be very happy. I run my Spector Euro 5LX (non trim) through my Mesa Mpulse 360 and PH series cabs, the tone is awesome. I think the preamp is a perfect match for the tube pre of the Mesa.

I wouldn't run that pump at 18v. I'm not sure on the cut off but some of the non trim pot pumps will fry at 18v. The trim pot versions are OK though at 18v. I'm at a gig now so I dot have a bunch of time. I would follow the STD tone pump wiring but Daisy chain the ground your missing to the other tone pot.

Ya I'm only runnin 9v. So ground tone pots together. Ground volume to bridge?

Ok , the pup, needs to run to the volume pot first not directly to the pump. 25k is recomended for emg's but I believe its for the loading of the pups not the pump.

Yeah the battery red and power wire to the pup need to be world together as well. The purple wire to the jack is your output, the black wire to the jack completes the "switch" to enable power, and the second black wire to the jack is the ground. I think you can also tie that ground wire from the jack to the bridge as well if you need to. Emg's don't ground to the bridge though.

Looking it over, and going over what I remember of my rebop ( which had the 9 wire pre, emg Hz's and a ground wire under the bridge), the wire your missing is a ground. If memory serves, they daisy chain a ground from the pots, the jack and the bridge. I'll see if I can get Donny, to confirm also. He has my old pre , and the install was pretty straight forward.

My pup is passive. I was going by the spector "2 pup w/blend" schematic from the site. Almost same diagram as ex1 except I was wiring mm pup series direct to where spector has the blend pot.

Any luck? You should be good with the vol/vol pump diagram I posted. Just don't run power to the pup if its passive (power to the pre only) I think your gonna need a 100k pot for the vol with a passive pup as well.

Havent had a chance to wire yet. Pulled triple duty this week...spent 7hours in studio sunday donating bass tracks for a friends band, worked 12 hours monday, worked 10 hours today...then band practice. Hopefully tomorrow

So finally got the beast assembled. Omg. Tone for days. But....like I was warned...the non-trim pump is uber-hot. I cant turn the volume past 1/2 before it overloads my input. Any suggestions on how to make a buffer or something?
