I have a question about bass eq. I play a Squier vintage modified tele bass. The guys I jam with aren't neccesarily serious, but we do play some parties every once in a while. Anyway they have commented on how the single humbucking p/u of the tele bass is to muddy. They prefer me to play the drummers older squier pj model to get that "crisp" sound. The problem is the narrow neck is very uncomfortable for me to play, and the action is set to high. Are there any bass eq pedals anyone can recommend to help get that "pj" tone. A friend of mine recommended that I turn the mids all the way up on the amp, and to turn the bass and treble down. I tried this on the amp we use which is an older model fender rumble 100. Were playing a party this sat night, so I am scrambling for a solution.
