Tone test - critique solicited

Our guitar player had me throw a bass line on top of one of his tracks and send it back to him, so it made me record myself again.

It had been some time since I recorded myself, and it got me tweaking tone a bit. So, I now made a very simple clip to post to solicit feedback on this tone. What do you think?

it's bizarre, is what it is. I can't begin to tell what's going on.

It has a nice fat vibe at first listen, but then when i get in close, especially with headphones, it sounds like there are aliens in the background having a party.

I think the aliens in the background might be a sign you need to back off on the meds.

Yeah, there's a little noise, but I actually thought it sounded good. The noise is percussive.
But hey, what do I know?
