Double Bass tonebone for blending upright mic with Gage realist

Any advice is appreciated. Also would I just be better off getting a rail box DO for home recording? Help!

Unless you happen to have a dynamic mic with a REALLY hot output and a 1/4" connector (or don't mind an adapter kluge), the Tonebone will be absolutely useless for a mic. Even then, the EQ is not set up for it and you won't have any control over things like phase, HPF, feedback control, etc.

IMO, you're better off looking at something like a DTAR Solstice or Invalid Link Removed for blending purposes.

I like th ed DTAR. Not familiar with the Acousti image Flex. I use a 10 yr old Coda amp.

Why not just use your Coda to blend the mic and pickup?

Which Tonebone are we even talking about here? I've run a dynamic mic through a small in line transformer, into one of the 1/4" ins on the PZ-Pre, and if the switch is set to 'piezo buffer on' there's plenty of gain, and you get your eq, phase, and notch controls...
