Tonex One Help Needed

Hi All, I just purchased the Tonex One pedal, but can't figure out how to make it work? Is anyone able to assist? I'm just hoping to download a few good bass amp models for live work at small local gigs. I've watched videos, registered it, downloaded the manuals, program manager, Tonex SE & Amplitude 5. I've reached out to Ik multimedia for help but no reply yet? Joined a facebook users forum, no reply yet. All I can seem to access and hear are 3 pre set guitar amp models. The SE software is supposed to access 200 models including bass, amplitude and tone net many more? I'm using a MacBook pro so should have the needed computer power, although I'm not very knowledgable about using computers. Is anyone willing and able to assist? I'm getting frustrated because I've spent 2 nights trying to figure this thing out when I should be working on learning some songs for upcoming fill in gigs. Thanks, Cordially, Toneseeker

Just wanted to report in that I've now got many of my start up issues sorted out. Some kind folks on the Tonex user forum at Facebook helped me figure out that when downloading the software you need to allow all the requested access to computer files. After reinstalling the software I was able to view, hear and download tons of great bass rigs. Of course these are AI generated simulations, but so far they sound great and of course I could never really own or even try out all this gear. Now it seems like the biggest issue will be selecting which to try next. Like being a kid in a candy store. Wow! I'll try to share more after I get to use it in live situations. See Ya'll!

Hey just wanted to reply to your post and to say you are not alone LOL. I also recently purchased a Tonex One. I have worked in tech for decades and and come to the conclusion, you need time to work out how the tonex app works and how it interacts with the tonex one. Its not that intuitive! I definitely got pointed in the right direction with some youtube videos. The online tech guides were not enough. But now a couple of days in to it, there are a lot of possibilities!! Have fun!!

I find it is easier and simpler to initially audition settings with built in sound samples and then push the preset to the pedal. Then, I just keep the pedal plugged to my normal rig (bass and amp/PA) and push the adjustments in preset until I feel good about it.

Cool thing about Tonex One is when you using you Two or Three presets with the footswitch is it saves the settings when making volume and tone adjustments to the pedal, so when playing live, you don't have to worry about saving tweaks when you need to make minor adjustments to fit the venue.

Thanks for the replies ScottyBoy & Waveman. I haven't had much time to spend with it yet. It does seem very promising but the frustration continues. I found 2 amp models or captures I like so far, but when I try to adjust eq or volume settings on one it affects both either on the pedal or on the software? I've tried looking at manuals and videos., hitting save, creating folders etc, not having any luck yet. Any suggestions? Thanks
