Family man, on the other hand...that would be like knockin' Moses for bringin' down the 10 commandments.

Yeah, I sometimes think the Sly and Robbie are a over-rated, good, but there are better Reggae rythm sections. And I think Aston Barrett (Robbie's teacher!) is better as well and Flabba and the Roots Radics. One might also argue for "The Supersonics" but I dont know much about them.

the bassline to "limelight" by rush is always a fun one to play. plus, it covers all the strings so you canm play it for sound checks. hell, almost any Geddy Lee bassline kicks ass in my opinion.

YYZ is a watershed bass line.

A very overlooked song. Flea's best bass work ever, by far.

Its pretty good. Everything from the 'Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik' era is good though. He started to hold back a little bit and just groove. Hardly slaps at all.

Check the linear notes for 'catch a fire' it clearly states that robbie played bass on that track.
