Top 3 Brightest Strings...with low end punch

Prosteels are pretty bright which I use exclusively. They're bright with a nice tight low end, and considerably less expensive than DR HB's or Rotos. They're easier on the fingers as well.

I've bought a couple sets of Dean Markley steels from bassstringsonline. Jason has them for $12 a set. They are round core like DR's. I have them on my fretless and love them. They aren't ruff feeling and have a nice snappy tone. For $12 a set, well worth trying.

I had some Circle K's that seemed pretty bright to me. Great feeling strings, but a tad too bright for me at the time. Maybe it was because the strings they replaced were pretty old.

Dr hi beams, blue steels, rotosound 66's. Cobalts are worth a mention, bright but not zingy.
