Top 3 players whose TONE you admire most...

Jan Erik Liljeström (Anekdoten) Album: Vemod and Nucleus

Anekdoten, the phsycadelic progressive rock band from Sweden.

Jan has the most controled distortion i have ever heard. Running Through a H/H ic 100

guitar amp really brings the bright and Treble sound from his rickenbacker.

Geddy Lee (Rush) Album: Hemispheres-Moving Pictures and Vapor Trails

Geddy Lee is my favorite bassist. His tone from around 77' to 81' is an extraordinary,

heavy and driving. Hard enough keep the guitar up and elegant enough to make a quiet

part keep its volume. The tone on Vapor Trails is just a driving son of a b**** :P

Dave Ellefson (Megadeth) Album: Peace Sells...But who's buying? and Rust In Peace

Dave have to be the best metal bassist (my opinion, maybe yours?). His tone really

sticks out between the drums and guitars. The metallic snap just fit the whole songs so

nicely.
