top multi efx ???

i'm looking to buy a new efx.
right now i got my eyes on the zoom b9.1, or boss gt 10b.
i would love to buy a roland but i'm way to broke to go down that road.
from what i seen so far zoom is winning my vote.
any help?

Instead of new think "used". You can find a good deal on a Boss/Roland GT6B. I have seen them going for around $200. The GT10B may be an improvement but the GT6B is still one of the best multi-effect pedalboards, especially if you can pick one up for a good price!

If you want another choice of a multi-effects processor, I would recommend a korg "toneworks" ax3000b. it has a large variety of effects, amp and cab models at an affordable price. the sound quality is phenominal. and the size is a little smaller than the boss gt6b.

I used to have a GT-10B. It was pretty simple to use, had some really good effects in it, but I primarily used mine for the EQ capabilities and used some of the effects just enough to make my tone a bit fuller.

In fact, I've been thinking about buying a new one but now I'm conflicted because I saw a GT-6B for about 1/2 the cost.

I haven't tried any other multi effects pedals but the M13. That being said... the M13 is a great tool that can be used with all instruments. Looper and tuner included too. An amazing unit for the price, especially if you can snag one used.

I have had a GT-10B since it was released, and a GT-6B previous to that.
I think the GT-10B is wayyyy better than the GT-6B (twice as much stuff in it & modelling is much improved), but it can be very complex to tweak.
But the GT-10B does have 3 different User levels of adjustment.
1.) is the EZ Edit, which is a style selection followed by an X-Y plot graph to dial in your desired sound.

2.) the 4 knob stompbox view, where the 4 main parameters are featured as simple knobs for each effect.

3.) List menu view, where all the available parameters are displayed in a list.


The GT-10B is also built solid like a tank.

Of course it always depends on what kind of sound you are looking to get out of your multi and what combination of effects you think you will really be needing and using beyond just experimentation.

Boss/Roland stuff is usually always a safe bet and I hear really great things about the M13. I've heard a mix bag on the Zoom stuff but a lot of people sure do love them although from what I hear the interface can be a bit confounding.

For the money though I am going to slap my +1 on a used AX3000B. I've had mine for a while now and for a combination of affordability, flexibility, tone and intuitive interface It's hard to beat.
