San Diego (when not at Groom Lake)
Now that's rare - I don't think I've seen one of those here before. As many of you know, I'm in San Diego when I'm not at Groom Lake, and I happened to be home for the last couple days while El Niño is in full force. We got "Shelter in Place" warnings on our phones so of course, I looked out the front door to see if devastation was imminent and it was raining and blowing like a mofo, so much that it took a fair effort to shut the door. So I moved the family into an interior hallway in the north wing, and we sat there for about 15 minutes before it calmed down outside. Of course, my teenaged daughter was flipping out, so she called her friend and they shared some selfies.

That is all.

SoCal can actually get monsoon-type rain some years. It can be very scary because they're not equipped to deal with that much water. I remember a few times when the Santa Ana River was close to capacity. The Santa Ana River is basically a big dry drainage ditch 99.9% of the time. Then all of a sudden it's at capacity and you hope it doesn't spill over the banks.
