Please respond if you can. I have an amp that will put out 175 watts @ 8 ohms and 300 total @ 4 ohms with the extension cab. Can I max the AMP out by using a single 4 ohm 300 (min) Watt Cab as opposed to using two 8 ohm cabs?

Two 8 ohm cabinets have the same impedance as one 4 ohm cabinet. The only difference is that with two cabinets they each get half of the power, whereas the 4 ohm would get all of it.
