Found this from 2016.
A beautiful young gray rat snake. This devil fell on my head when it rolled off the top of the door i'd just opened. Turned out the door was warped in the frame, leaving a gap at one end of the top, large enough for small bats to come through to get in the house I was looking at furniture in. It was dark out but i had a head lamp and a flash so it was all good until i pushed the door open and this fell on my head. I leaned forward to drop it on the ground then held it just long enough to get this photo.

Last weekend I opened my Jobbox at my range and discovered that some creatures were hungry. I'm thinking weevils? I think the patterns are pretty cool looking!

My parents still have a fridge very like that...it was bought in 1947 and still works perfectly.
I'd bet serious money they don't make them like that anymore.

7' tall thistle bushes.

The bumblebee landed as I took the pic. A pleasant surprise.

This buck was shadowing me today as I mowed the camp. Later on I "snuck" up on it and took a few pics. I think it's gotten used to me. It showed no fear.

Kind of looks like a non-typical button buck.
