I can't say i recognize that name, but now i need to look him up. Is he the proprietor of Luna? I don't wear sandals. From late June to early September as long as it's above the mid 70s°, i drive and walk around barefoot myself. I jjust slip on the Chucks if i need to run into a grocery store or some other business No strap tan lines for me

He became kind of a rock star in the running world after the release of the book "Born To Run". It's an epic tale of a true story about a foot race that took place between some Americans (including Ted) and a South American tribe known for their ability to run incredible distances. And, yes, ye developed Lina sandals as a modern version of the minimalist sandals worn by that tribe.

I've been wearing minimalist shoes (that cover the whole foot) for a couple of years now. Trail running sandals are the next step. I'm going to try both Luna and Xero (also developed by one of the runners in that race). The Luna I'm getting are more rugged, while the Xero are basically a super thin sole held together by a little bit of string.

But Ted seems like an interesting character. I want to meet him almost as much as I would like to meet you.

My girls use one of those swirly lights as a night light every night. It's in a decorative "bucket" so it doesn't shine out the side and in their eyes. It decorates the ceiling with slow swirling lights and knocks them right out.

Anybody knows what these are? It's outside blades are clamping down holding these fuzzy buds until they can no longer contain the bloom, and then it just goes white >

Twofer, i looked him up and thought ive seen him around town before but i can't be positive. Gotta admit his and Manuel Luna's sandal design are the first ones I've seen that appear to have any kind of an Interesting look on the foot. Curious to know how they work out for you after some real life testing

Your aerial photos are spectacular Stewie, with perfectly straight horizon lines, excellent composition and framing, etc. Do you have to shoot around shmutz (like bug splatter) on the windows, or inflate the auto pilot to get them??

Lately yes, but i slept till noon and i might do it again I'm about to take some ice cream up to bed as i see the new dawn rising to the east >

Thanks cat for the compliment. Prior to flight, I clean the canopy of any bugs. Yes, the autopilot is normally on or my wife is handling the controls. The most difficult problem for me is internal reflections off the inside of the canopy. If I am wearing a white T-shirt and the sun is at a certain angle, the reflection of my shirt will ruin a shot. That said, it is best to wear all black, but that can get awful hot and uncomfortable under the canopy.

Thanks Not Jaco. I don't think a polarizing filter will work but I have not tried one. Below is an example of shirt reflection contaminating a shot. Perhaps some of the photographers here may have a solution.

I believe a polarizing filter might help eliminate bright reflections but only from a 45° angle and not if you're shooting straight on into the reflective surface. In addition, i don't know that they make them to fit phone camera lenses, as they screw on the threaded SLRs lenses and need to be able to rotate to find the sweet reflection elimination spot

Playing with a school of dolphins off of Redondo Beach, CA. I grew up on and in the local waters and the big change over time is we now have much more wildlife off our beaches.
