Driving from Napa back to Brookings yesterday.…just missed getting home in time for what looked like an intense susnset.
Going to be a nice beach day here in SoCal with temps in the 80's with the Good Year blimp skimming the shoreline at a very low altitude.
Unfancy snap of a school shop project from 1980 that I just recently rediscovered in a storage box - now mounted above my shop desk in my garage.
This was my first time using a router! I got a B++ (whatever that is) mark on this project. Paint added over the years when this adorned the door of a shack my friends and I built in the woods behind my house when we were 12/13 years old. We were all MASH fans at the time.

My cabin kitchen is coming together. Knotty Alder cabinets built by a former farmer who does it to keep busy in his retirement. A true craftsman!

Yes, my sweetie and I are normally at Algonquin once or twice a year but spend most of our “tripping” time away from Algonquin. Normally the Temagami region … also Quetico. This past summer we did a 12 day trip at Wabakimi.
I dated a girl who lived there back in the mid 80's which is how I recognized it. I always thought is was the Beverly Hills on the coast.
