I have noticed that TB member Auspuff takes a lot of photos that he post on here when he is visiting the Huntington Beach and Sunset Beach wetlands here in SoCal. So when flying over the coast today, I though of Auspuff and snapped an aerial photo of the wetlands for him and other to see.

Iv'e been admiring some of these close ups for some time, surely these are not phone piccies, or if they are, (norty werds)!!!! Can I please have details of camera lens and settings if they are real piccies or what is this phone??
Just an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Shot with no filters (I think my daughter turned off something default, and I expect the camera does its own thing internally that I don't know about or haven't found). I do a lot of resizing, to bring up details, but I do get right down close - the salt stain shot above, that's just holding the camera an inch or 2 off the ground. Really for what I am doing, I should get a camera stand and remote shutter clicker, but I'm just learning all this stuff. I have used some filters, and some shots I do a little post production like straightening, brightness etc, but just what's right there on the Apple camera menu. My daughter, again, taught me this stuff in under 10 minutes.

I forgot to add - I paint, and I paint almost exclusively abstracts, and that influences strongly what I look for and find to photograph, most of the time. Some of my paintings are back in the thread.

I recognize that focus isn’t super crisp on a lot of my pics. These shots of rock in my yard are close taken, then cropped and blown up to and maybe past crisp, for effect. I need a little tripod. Also, it always seems a certain area of the image is more blurred, maybe lens needs cleaning.
Still lots of melt to go.

My old band was performing at a small town pub one night. Just as we hit the last note in the song and before the crowd applauded, we could hear an argument happening in the background. I heard one guy yell at another: “GINGER IS NOT A RACE”. That’s always stuck with me.
