Zoom in on the pics and you can see evidence that they exist. There are some houses about 500 yards in the background. But the pic was taken from my front yard across my neighbor's front yard. We all have large wooded lots out in the country. Fun right now because the centipede is brown. But it's a B word during the summer having to cut over 4 acres.

If you had a telescope you could. I have been on the same jetty many times. I use to surf in the mouth of the San Gabriel river there just adjacent to Seal Beach.
