I missed the one in Washington since we were moving. There is one here in a couple weeks, but I may have to pass. I have torn cartilage in my right knee, so I doubt I'd be able to complete the course. My doctor won't clear me to participate, but I might try it anyway and see how far I get.

One beautiful bonus of losing weight....at 370 pounds, I would have had no chance at this.

Two down. Maybe I'll do a third in the fall?

While it isn't a race, there is a yearly event for the Toughest Mudder. Only the top finishers of each event are qualified. The Toughest Mudder event is 24 hours. Do as many laps as possible. Does that work for you gttim?

Really disappointed at how so many (most?) seemed to just walk it and cherry pick what obstacles they would do. I thought it was like a marathon where everyone at least tries to run the whole thing. Its a tough mudder if you want it to be but for many it was a optional and lame mudder. ***?

If anyone says they did this and you wonder how they did it....

Tough Mudder was fun for sure. I did it two summers ago at Beaver Creek. The shocks weren't nearly as bad as jumping into the dumpster full of ice water. The ice water was by far the worst thing about the entire run. I did all the obstacles and finished in 3 1/2 hours. I was with my wife and two of her teacher friends though & one of them rolled her ankle near the start so that slowed us down a lot. Might do it again sometime, but it's expensive and your clothes and shoes are pretty much useless when you're done adding to that expense.
