I like the one on the right. No nasty bridge, and pickup placement looks interesting!

I could swear that I posted in this thread, but I guess not. Here's my Chaos Core (whiskey burl) that I've been playing for about a year. Straight out of the box it's been a real player, after a little setting-up. I couldn't have been happier with the quality of this bass. It does get a little heavy after awhile though.

Number please.

I have an identical 5-String which is really nice - I mainly use it for recording as its got such a nice sound recorded direct into the desk. For live I use my Traben John Moyer with Rockfield pre-amp. Live I think this is better than the Aguilar (certainly more output) when playing punk and hardcore type stuff.

Okay, fellow Traben owners, here's what I'm thinking. My Kore is a beautiful bass and I love it very much. It has non-stock EMG pickups, which make it very special. But, it is so darn heavy that it is starting to mess with my neck and shoulder. What I'm pondering over is buying an Array Obsession 5 body and gutting its electronics and putting in the stuff (at least the pickups) from the Kore. Is the Array a little bit lighter than the massive Kore? The body certainly appears to be smaller. Are there any empty Array shells floating around the 'bay?

I got curiouse and weighed my array the other day. Comes to 7 lbs exactly although it might be different of rthe obsession.

Isn't the Chaos Core made out of paulonia wood - similar to bass wood. Not mahogany?

Thats a different model, we're talking about the old discontinued Kore model.

I know, Traben should have called them something more different.

The Kore, its like the Phoenix, but neck through, and without the flame inlays on the fingerboard.

hey im new to the forum and i dont know if this should go here but i recently bought a traben array limited five string for cheap that needed some work. it needs a new jack wich i have but i dont know wich wires go to wich part of the jack. my bass has got a bare wire, red wire, and white wire coming from the preamp that should connect to the jack. if anybody has the same bass could one of yall post a diagram or a picture of the wired jack? i dont know if im asking to much but any help would be greatly appreciated, and this seems liek the best site to get help for soemthing like this. thanks in advance even if no one can give me any help.

Hey man, I don't have a diagram and don't have my basses at home. Are you planning on doing this yourself? It cost me 5 bucks at my local shop for them to install a better jack. There was some sodering involved and I didn't have a gun.

Wish I could be more of a help for you but like I said I don't have my basses here. Maybe Dark will post, he may have his basses handy.

Mooch

hoping to join the club at some point, too skint to afford one just now though :/

ive found the array attack and the array obsession for the same price, which should i go for? thinking obsession even though i like the look of the attack more, cause its neck through.
