I’m in the process of buying a Trace Elliot GP12SMX Preamp head (the preamp only model) and I’m wondering if anyone has successfully installed a power amp module inside?
I want to install the head back into my SMX cab as the old SMX amplifier died years ago rather than adding a separate power amp unit on top/use a rack mount etc. I know ICEpower do these modules. Any other brands to look out for? The cab has a 15” 600W/1200W peak driver in it.
