Trace Elliot Help!

Today i just picked up a Trace Elliot VType Combo for $350, it's my first big amp, and I love it. I have some issues that I need help with.
First off, can anyone give me a model number? The number must have worn off. It's a 250W 1x15" Combo with a 15" Eminence driver. It's a VType, has a green light on the front etc. and is green in color.

Now the things I really need help with.
Stand By Switch- Is the light supposed to be orange when in standby? My stepdad thinks it was, but I'm not sure. It worked alright earlier today, but I brought it over to a friend's house and played for a while and at the end it wasn't working. Naturally, this upset me because I just spent $350 and it's already not working. Help please. It was on for 3 hours straight today, but would that affect it? I haven't had time yet to wait and see if it was a temporary thing...

The switch on the back. On the back there are 2 switches, the main power switch, and another with a symbol on either side, just below the electrical shock warning. What does this switch do?

Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.
Alec

awsome amp,the switch on the back is most likely a ground lift switch, supposed to do something for hum I think,my daughter has the same amp,I think,I will do more reserch on the one that owns the corner of my living room,I played on that amp when I first got the gig I do now,and its a serious air pusher, had some issues with the edges of the speaker comming loose and ended up doing some rattling,so I went out and bought an svt 3 pro and a 410,anyway,lemme see what I can find out for info

What applications are the ground lift switch used in? There is also a small ground lift switch with the D.I. section, what would the application of that be?
Any thoughts on the Green light or Stand by switch?
Thanks for the info!
Alec

The ground lifts are used in the event of extraneous noise secondary to ground conflicts (loops?) amongst the components in your chain. Not a very detailed explanation, eh? Good questions and I'd bet you get better firsthand input on the TE club thread.

Hi!
I think the preamp (including the green front light) is the same as included in V4/V6 Tops I both own-and the green light is shining when te amp is switched on with the mainswitch on the back an it doesn`t change it`s colour!

Did a quick web search as I thought it was odd no one knew the model number off the top of their head. Unfortunately most of what I found was people talking about this combo crapping out on them. Getting really hot and then no output. Hope you find an easy cure for this.
