Trace Elliot Transit B !

Well I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a transit B pre amp. This is a fantastic pedal ! I don't know why I waited so long. Full disclaimer , I'm kind of a Trace Elliot Fanatic , So I'm pretty familiar with lots of T/E gear. This pedal is the real deal, I plugged in, played ,and immediately felt right at home. I don't usually gush about new gear but this thing just blows me away. That is all . carry on.

That's some power amp collection you have there! Those things probably generate their own gravity.

How would you compare the Transit to the older Trace lines (SMX, V-type, Valve)?

Mine sounded exactly like my TE GP7SM 130 watt head. The Transit's pre-shape pretty much resembles the SM's pre-shape #1.

The Differences between the older Trace pre amps are quite subtle, with the exception of the V type which is a pretty typical tone stack design. Believe it or not the MP11 to me sounds the best , it has a certain punch and clarity that slightly distances it from the others. Initially I had low expectations for that one thinking that all the lights and buttons were just kind of a gimmick but it is a seriously good pre amp. I also wouldn't directly compare the GP7 pre to the 11s and 12s , same flavor , less options. I'll have to hook up my GP7 one of these days as it's been a while since I've used it . so maybe I can compare it to the Transit. But I recall always preferring the sound of the 11 and 12 bands to the GP7, and going from say the GP12smx to the Transit I miss absolutely nothing.
